Overall, the Timberwolves started strong, gaining a quick 4-0 lead and keeping things steady throughout the first quarter. However, it became clear Denver had victory in their grasp when they scored 10 unanswered points in the third quarter. They managed to take an 82-75 lead, and their momentum continued into the fourth quarter. With 7:14 remaining, the Nuggets already had a 20 point lead.

The Timberwolves showed no signs of being able to come back. It seemed like for every score they earned, Denver earned three more. Jamal Murray’s 3PT Jumpshot with 58 seconds essentially ended this contest, and Denver won 113-95.

In terms of player performances, Nikola Jokic earned the game ball with a nasty triple-double. He recorded 22 points, 17 rebounds, and 11 assists. Furthermore, he recorded a steal and a block in the contest. Additionally, Season 7 cover star Jamal Murray also played well. He recorded 27 points, as well as 6 assists, 2 steals, and a block.

As for the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards scored the most points throughout the game (44). He also added six rebounds, five assists, and a steal to his stat sheet. However, he was the only player on the Timberwolves who seemingly showed up. No other player on the team recorded double digit points for any stat, except Rudy Robert, who earned 13 rebounds. Overall, it was a disappointing game from the Timberwolves.

With the win, Denver will once again appear in the Conference Finals, where they take on either the Mavericks or Thunder. It was a hard fought series, but the Nuggets found a way to advance. While they won’t have a long time to recoup before the Conference Finals, they can continue their title defense. Will Jokic and co. find a way to advance to the Finals again? Or did this series drain the players mentally and physically?

As for the Timberwolves, a strong season comes to a heartbreaking end. While Edwards is a phenomenal player, it looks like he won’t be getting his ring this year, based on the sim. However, Minnesota is still in a position to make a title run in future seasons. With players like Edwards, Towns, and McDaniels, there’s a lot of potential for this team to succeed. Keep your eyes on Minnesota this offseason, too.

In terms of accuracy, we feel the scoreboard is realistic. Over the course of this series, we adjusted CPU Sliders to create more authentic scores and stats. We still feel that perhaps too many three-pointers are being converted, but regardless it’s out of the ordinary. We’ll still continue to find ways to improve these simulation numbers.

One area we’ve been looking to improve in is roster accuracy. Since our simulations are pre-recorded, we don’t have information on Game-Time Decisions. Furthermore, creating custom rosters led to game crashes and technical glitches. However, we’ll continue to find a solution to this issue. Regardless, we at least hope to provide entertaining simulations.
